Best/Worst Photos from this Year

I believe that this was one of my best photos because of its interesting framing, color and texture contrast (the tree against the rusty fence links and the grass), and the small details found everywhere from the foreground to the background.

I think this was another one of my better photos because of the visually appealing ratio between the bottom third of the photo and the top two thirds. Also, I consider this photo to be a step above the rest I've taken because of the mood expressed by the similar colors of the bridge, the buildings, the Potomac, and the overcast sky that day. Finally, I really like how I captured the small kayak and the plane in the same frame, which was just by chance.

I mostly like this photo a lot because of how the metal framework on the outside of the fan causes the eye to drift around and around, and how the lines are slightly diagonal. Overall, for being so close up, there are many details and areas of the composition to look at.

I consider this photo to be among my worst because of how I initially thought the idea of shooting through a dirty bird house would end up being surprisingly good, and then thought the photo was interesting for a long time, but finally realized that it was not visually appalling after all.

This is just a really terrible photo of Dylan. Sorry, Dylan.

I highly dislike this photo because of how I captured too much of the scene to the left, with all of the people walking along the side of the river, which was not what I intended. I wanted to take a good shot of a seascape for the "scapes" assignment, but instead ignored that.
